Wilson is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer, focusing primarily on tenancy and lease issues, as well as family and criminal law. In addition he has represented contractors, acted for landlords and developers in lease and other property-related disputes, and handled insolvency matters pertaining to bankruptcy and winding up proceedings in the High Court and the State Courts.
At the Family Justice Courts, Wilson has also represented clients in mental capacity proceedings, mediation relating to custody, care and control of children, as well as maintenance and assets in divorce matters, handled probate and administration work, and represented the accused in criminal matters.
Wilson is particularly passionate about the role of mediation in dispute resolution. He has represented a non-profit organisation in an intellectual property dispute that was resolved via private mediation. At the Singapore Mediation Centre, he advised a party in a High Court contractual dispute between two overseas multi-national companies that resulted in a successful mediation.
Wilson serves on the board of Corporate Alliance for Good Ltd (a non-profit social enterprise) as well as the Brigade Secretary of The Boys’ Brigade in Singapore (a charity registered as an institution of public character). He also sits in the audit committee of Dover Park Hospice.
Wilson graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, Hons) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1996 and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1997.
